DYMNA LOTVA take a major creative leap with their fourth album, Vyraj. Released by Prophecy Productions in 2026, this digipak CD expands the band’s black and post-black metal foundations with elements of doom, progressive metal, electronics, gothic music and Belarusian folklore.
The result is an emotionally charged and highly varied album. Dense atmospheric passages move from depression and fear through anger and defiance toward moments of ecstatic release. Heavy riffs, progressive arrangements and haunting melodies create a distinctive sound that is both confrontational and deeply accessible.
The concept draws upon Belarusian ethno-astronomy and Slavic mythology. In ancient legends, Vyraj is a mythical realm connected with the starry sky—a place where birds migrate for winter and the souls of the dead find rest. This vision becomes intertwined with the musicians’ experience of political persecution and forced emigration from Belarus.
