With no further introduction needed. Gorgoroth had been crushing everything in their path ever since their birth in 1992, and with their fourth studio album things were no different. This is the most underrated peak of the classic era Gorgoroth, and the first and only edition ever released exactly as Infernus originally intended it to be.

For this album Infernus assembled the single greatest all star line up ever to appear on a black metal record. Featuring the very first appearance of Gaahl on any Gorgoroth recording on the opening title track, legendary vocalist Pest delivering the greatest vocal performance of his entire career, plus guest appearances from Frost (Satyricon), Daimonion (Enslaved) and Ares (Aeternus). The message was perfectly clear: total uncompromising Norwegian black metal destruction.

All previous editions and pressings of Destroyer were compromised and altered against the band’s wishes. This 2022 Soulseller Records reissue is the first time the album has ever seen the darkness exactly 100% according to Infernus’ original vision and art direction.
