This is not generic black metal. The band perfectly alternates between intense, hymnal melodic black metal passages and beautiful acoustic interludes, creating a work of many peaks and valleys. There is a strange and unique atmosphere of romance, hatred, melancholy and pure cold poetry that you will not find anywhere else. Nihil’s vocals sound like a man being tortured. The riffs are icy, melodic and deeply emotional. There is no weak track on this entire album.
If you only ever own one Furia album, this should be the one.
The album sears with both pain and bliss. Far more interesting than anything else from this group of musicians, and superior even to the exquisite Furia debut.
