GEHENNA – Malice (Our Third Spell) — 2025 Remaster (Hardcover 2CD Digibook)

Unleashed in 1996, Malice (Our Third Spell) is Gehenna’s second full-length album and the record that marks
the end of the band’s first legendary era. It is also a crucial turning point in the group’s history:
the last Gehenna album to feature both keyboardist Sarcana and drummer Dirge Rep, and widely
regarded as the band’s last pure Black Metal statement before later releases moved toward a more death metal
oriented sound.

As a logical continuation of Seen Through The Veils Of Darkness, Malice expands the band’s melodic,
atmospheric palette—yet with a significantly broader riff vocabulary. Numerous passages introduce a traditional
Heavy/Thrash Metal feel, giving the album a grand, triumphant edge often compared to classic
symphonic Black Metal milestones such as Enthrone Darkness Triumphant.
With an almost 60-minute runtime, it is by far the longest album Gehenna ever released.

This 2025 edition has been completely newly remastered by
Patrick W. Engel at the Temple of Disharmony, ensuring the best possible sound for this
timeless Black Metal classic while preserving its cold, sinister atmosphere.
